Dear friends, dear members of the club and dear parishioners, First, I would like to express my deep gratitude for the various activities that you have undertaken so far. I think of course of the conferences, the seminars, the spiritual camps and also the publications of articles in specialized fields such as the Syriac history, culture and language. You are indeed a dynamic youth group. In spite of your professional and educational obligations, you have always found the necessary time to devote to the blooming of this club. |

Among the paramount considerations of our community, we must underline that which relates to the organization of the club of the young people. It deserves a very detailed attention because youth is the pillar of our church. It has to play a crucial part and to ensure the relief in our community. As always, I am believing that youth is synonymous of dynamism and hope in the future.
I am deeply conscious of the difficulties which the young people from here may encounter. We live in a world, marked by the loss of values. This situation causes various interrogations among our youth that are still not answered. We have the pastoral mission to assist them and find the answers. We see this situation like a challenge, and we are up to it.
It is in fact, in the fundamental values such as the love of next, the family and the forgiveness which the young people will draw their interior force. The evangelic evenings precisely make it possible to achieve this goal. In a certain way, they are "a laboratory of faith" where one meets God and Man, where each young person could say: "You are, Oh Christ, my Lord and my God! ". They are true schools of growth in faith, life connected with the church, response to the vocation.
This being said, I encourage you to proceed in the way which you began, on which I accompany you by my affection and with my blessing. I conclude while saying to you as said our Lord "Rise up, don’t be afraid ! |
