The Montreal Syriac Catholic Youth Club Association (SCYCA) is a diverse dynamic youth group composed of professionals and university students. Our mission is to built a continuing and mutually beneficial relationships between our executive comity board, the members, and the Syriac Catholic youth community at large. To this end, we are devoted to strengthen our spiritual and relational base within the syriac catholic community through sponsorship of lectures, seminars, spiritual camps, language classes, and academic conferences. Other intellectual pursuits include: publishing specialized articles in the areas of history, culture and language; and the publication of our attendant periodical, the Journal of the Syriac Youth Club Association (JESYCA weekly) by the Syriac news agency or «Actualité Syriaque».
The SCYCA rely on each of its members to achieve this role effectively. Our address is the 3000 Édouard-Montpetit in Laval at the Syriac Community Center, where we meet every Sunday at 8:30PM.
We do as much as we can to strengthen our club in its role to function more effectively as a Syriac organization committed to serving and fulfilling its educational, spiritual and social mission. The SCYCA pray the very Holly Trinity to assist all our members and our executive comity board in this mission. |
